Custom Fit
A custom fit seat cover is something that fits the automobile’s seat perfectly. Such seat covers are manufactured in such a way that it fits the exact year, make and model of your car. These covers are tailored with specific measurements to give you a perfect fit and provide access to every seat and safety features coming with your particular model.

Friction 
Friction is caused when two or more objects rub against one another. This constant rubbing produces energy in the form of heat which eventually results in surface deterioration of the any material. In the case of an automobile, friction is caused when you constantly rub your clothing against the covering material.

Neoprene
Neoprene is an oil resistant material and it has been used as an alternative to natural rubber. Off late however, researchers have discovered other areas where it can be used. Nowadays Neoprene is widely used in wet suits, fan belts, noise insulation pads, gaskets, and electrical insulation and also seat covers.

Pelts 
Pelts are animal skins with fur, hair or wool still attached to it. One big advantage of using pelts for seat covers is that this material does not shed, like other lesser fur seat covers.

Pink Slip 
A title of a vehicle is often referred to as a pink slip which is an American slang term. DMVs recommend that you should not drive with your pink slip in the glove box, just in case your vehicle is ever gets stolen.

Polyester 
Polyester is a synthetic fiber which is lightweight as well. For its water resistant quality this material has long been used for various applications.

Semi-Custom Fit 
A semi-custom fit is not created with precise measurements and so will not fit as precisely as a Custom fitting automobile seat cover. However they are better than Universal seat covers.

Universal Fit 
A Universal seat cover is developed to fit any bucket seat. It won’t give a perfect fit because these covers are not made with the make and model measurements.

UV / Ultra Violet 
Ultra Violet or UV ray is an electromagnetic wave of light that is not visible to the naked human eye. However these lights can be felt by many animals such as snakes, birds and insects. Large amounts of UV radiation are emitted by the sun which is mostly filtered out by our atmosphere. Little portions of this light however do get through and it is harmful to our skin and to the automobile upholstery. It takes away the natural oils in leather, and leaves the upholstery dull by bleaching out its color.
